Oaks' Day Woah! I love the races! Yes, it was busy, crowded, claustriphobic, raining, drunk, messy, smelling, but it was just wonderful! For those of you from overseas who are not fortunate enough to have experienced Melbourne's Spring Racing Carnival, you simply HAVE to. What other country has a public holiday for a horse race (The Melbourne Cup, that is). Oaks day, on the Thursday, was traditionally Ladies' Day, but in these brilliant times of alleged gender-equality, it is a fun day for all. Catching the train was so much fun, it was packed and everyone was wearing their best. Peacock feathers, fur, stillettos, Armarni and italian silk, it was all happening. So enough of that, let's get onto the photos.
